Life Resume

I recently had an insightful conversation that reminded me of the multitude of things in life that create an identity for oneself. My Life Resume below will allow you to see more into the things in life that bring me joy and excitement and overall, that brand, well, me, Annie Savage!

Rolling Stones x Prague, Czech Republic

July 4, 2018
I'm sitting in my apartment in Prague and get a text: Hey, are you going to the Stone's concert tomorrow in Letna? Trying to find people to go with.
WHAT? THE ROLLING STONES ARE IN PRAGUE?! WHILE I AM LIVING HERE?

I couldn't believe it. I stopped everything that I was doing and immediately bought two tickets. I had already seen the famous group once before, but standing in a foreign country, around no one who is speaking English, but singing "Beast of Burden" in unison was a dream.
One of the funniest things about the show was that Mick Jagger is fluent in Czech (I am not) so between every song, his banter with the crowd was meaningless to me. However, the music that night will forever leave an impact in my soul.

Check that off the bucket list!
TOP STONE'S SONGS:
1. Tops (Album: Tattoo You)
2. Moonlight Mile (Album: Sticky Fingers)
3. Miss You (Album: Some Girls)

It's not common that two 23-year-olds are spending weeks together learning a beautiful, yet forgotten, past time. I was given the most amazing opportunity to become a Belle of the American Royal (BOTAR as they call it) and join a philanthropic society that has been around for 70 years. Our way of being presented into this Kansas City Society is by completing an eight-minute waltz with 20 other BOTARS and their escorts. I look back now and remember all the fun memories leading up to the event itself. Whether it was an ice cream social, a 50's themed prom party, or even just post-practice drinks on the Plaza, I will cherish those memories forever. Not to mention, I made so many new friends out of it and completely expand my social group in my post-college life.
FUN FACT: We danced the entire eight-minute waltz/foxtrot with those 5lb feathers in our hands. We'd spin and twist with it as our bodies drifted across that beautiful pink dance floor. Also, the petticoats under our dresses were so long, the heels of my shoes were caught in the bottom hem the entire time... (it was also our first and only time dancing in our ball gowns!)
BEST MOMENT: Hugging my mom after and her crying, saying "That was worth every penny".

There's not much to say except that I found an amazing way to incorporate memories, creativity, art, plane tickets, stickers, and my beloved photos into one giant book of memories. Scrapbooking has become one of the most time consuming, yet FUN, hobbies I have picked up since graduation. Next up: Freshman through Junior Year (Oh Lord...)!
TIME CONSUMED: 4 months
PAGES MADE: 48
MONEY SPENT: Better not say :)

Blue Dream Designs x best friends

November 2016-May 2018
Styles change but friends always stay constant. Chloie and I have been best friends since our 7th-grade social studies class. One of the things we have in common, amongst hundreds of other things, is our passion for art. We have always loved to create together and figure out how we can use our artistic abilities. In high school, it was photography and party planning. In college, it became jewelry.
Blue Dream began as a way to create stylish, affordable jewelry for young women in our community. The night before our first trunk show we were up until 3 am making jewelry (probably why we look a little tired in that picture...). Eventually, we were doing six trunk shows a season. We changed our styles as fashion changed and increased our prices. Although we no longer create jewelry, we look back at this part of our life and remember the huge accomplishments we had as business partners.
FUN FACT: Our trunk shows in 2018 helped fund more than half our trip abroad when we lived together in Prague!
